TRAPEZI

Trapezi means table and it also means gathering.

A place where people come together to eat, talk, remember, argue, sing, and share what they have. Around the table, stories move from one person to another. Recipes, songs, memories and ways of doing things are passed on almost without notice.

TRAPEZI grew from this simple idea: that a table can become a space for exchange, connection and memory.

Through shared meals and gatherings with local communities and invited artists, we create moments for people of different generations and backgrounds to meet, make and talk together. Food becomes a starting point, but the table opens onto much more — stories, images, music, traditions and new encounters.

We are interested in what happens when we make space for these exchanges, and in the things that emerge when people sit together without a fixed agenda.

The table is where we begin.

Someone brought bread.
Someone else brought a story.
A hand reached across the table.
A glass was filled.
Someone began to sing.

And for a while there were no borders,
no before,
no after.

Only the table.
Only the voices.
Only the things we remembered
because someone else remembered them first.

Pass it on.

The song.
The recipe.
The name.
The story.

Pass it on.
